Romance in The Ramatuelle Ruins at Bellacosa Lakeside in Florida

This shoot was inspired by the idea of showcasing the couple's love story in a story-like form. Since this was a surprise proposal, we thought it would be clever to turn the invitation into our book cover, where viewers are invited in to look at the photos (after the fact) to unfold the surprise proposal. The "details card" we turned into a timeline of their love story that showcases the most precious moments of their relationship including when they first met and when they took their first trip. Speaking of travel, the design of the shoot was inspired by the idea of a "destination" , specifically the ethereal views of the Ramatuelle Ruins located in the French Riviera. We wanted to bring those gorgeous European vibes to Florida! Our theme was Romance in The Ramatuelle Ruins | The French Riviera Comes to Florida.
You may have heard of the French Riviera, but have you heard of Ramatuelle? Ramatuelle is a romantic hilltop village with blush-clay / stone rooftops and picturesque arches. We thought the style and aesthetic of our shoot would blend perfectly with the look and feel of Bella Cosa and their blush-clay walls and dreamy european-like architecture.
Photos and video showcase our love for analogue film, blurry, unedited, candid feeling. You'll find not only film, but polaroids in our submission as well. We created not only a romantic vision for couples wanting to bring a European feel into their wedding design, but also an incredibly romantic backdrop for this surprise proposal!
We ended with a champagne toast with the entire crew that helped pull this off along with another dress change for our soon-to-be-bride into a whimsical and fun ball gown for the final cake cutting scene!
